A post-graduate in Zoology from Gauhati University with specialization in Animal Ecology & Wildlife Biology, she completed her PhD on ‘Diversity & Ecology of frugivorous birds in Eastern Assam” in 2013. As a Researcher, she has worked in the field of wildlife conservation especially avian fauna and contributed 25 popular articles on various aspects of biodiversity in leading local newspapers and also published 11 research papers in reputed journals. She has also completed four individual research projects in Avian Fauna funded by Oriental Bird Club, UK, ATREE, Foundation for Ecological Security & The Rufford Small Grants Foundation, UK. She had also participated in various national and International training & workshop programmes on biodiversity conservation. She had also presented research papers at national level and abroad namely at the Students Conferences on Conservation Sciences (SCCS) conferences at Cambridge, UK and New York, USA in 2011. She had also participated in a 15 days international training programme on Forestry at ONFI, France during 2016. Recently also completed a one year project on' Documentation of tradable bioresources of Assam' funded by the National Biodiversity Authority, Chennai.
She has been assisting the Board from May 2012 onwards in all technical works related to implementation of Biological Diversity Act-2002 in the state by way of generating awareness amongst various stakeholders, formation of Biodiversity Management Committees, preparation of People's Biodiversity Registers etc. Also involve in documentation of traditional knowledge including various field activities and research projects of the Board. She has also been associated with various publications of the Board including Booklets & Brochures and also recently she has co-authored two books namely “Common Spiders- from select PAs of Assam” and “Edible Bio-resources and Livelihoods”. Recently an ISBN book ‘Tradable Bioresources of Assam' was also authored by her. She is also coordinating various student oriented programs of the Board like the Biodiversity Research Associate Programme and Internship programme on Biodiversity Conservation.

During his PhD period he rediscovered flying lizard Draco norvillii after more than 100 years. Beyond herpetology, he is a birdwatcher. Visited UK, for attending the training programme under Darwin Scholarship on “Monitoring and Communicating Biodiversity”. Attended a training workshop on “Experimental design and data analysis at Xishuanbanna Tropical Botanical Garden, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China and ATBC conference in Indonesia. He has also presented his research and conservation findings in many international conferences. He has contributed three research papers in reputed journals and many articles in books and magazines. He also assisted in developing of Assam Biodiversity Portal. He is the co-editor of “Common Spiders” & “Access & Benefit Sharing” book published by Assam State Biodiversity. He is Assistant co-editor of Amulya Jaibabaichitra newsletter bi-annually published by Assam State Biodiversity Board. Presently he is working on a book of on Insects.
He is assisting the Board from September 2015 onwards. Before joining the Board, he was the Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology, University of Science & Technology Meghalaya. He has the responsibilities of research projects, BMCs & PBR related works, BRAP & Internship program and publications etc. in the Board
Graduate in Geography from Dibrugarh University, completed her Diploma & Post-Graduate in Tourism Management from Tezpur University & IGNOU respectively. Assisting the Board from January 2012 onwards with responsibilities of administrative as well as technical works related to implementation of the Biological Diversity Act- 2002 in the State such as coordination and monitoring of Biodiversity Management Committee (BMCs), Peoples Biodiversity Registers (PBR) preparation, formation of Technical Support Group (TSG), and is involved in generating awareness amongst various stakeholders and website management etc.
A Post Graduate in Botany from Gauhati University (2016) with specialization in Angiosperm Taxonomy. She had done a survey on herbaceous floral diversity of Nabagraha hills as her dissertation topic entitled as “An account of herbaceous flora of Nabagraha hills”.
Worked as a Guest faculty (Biology) for 1 (one) year in non-institutional Private and 3months in Botany Dept., Barama College.
Assisting the Board from November, 2017 onwards with responsibilities such as co-ordination of Biodiversity Management Committees of Southern Assam Circle (SAC) and Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BTAD), scrutiny of People's Biodiversity Registers (PBRs) prepared by BRAP & Internship Programme and Publications etc. Her research interest lies in Plant Taxonomy and Herbalism.
Completed Higher Secondary from AHSEC and assisting the Board from 2015 onwards in matters related to dak running.
